Fiction Submissions
Chaosium was born out of fiction. Greg Stafford discovered Glorantha through his writings which led him to founding the company. Only a few years later, Chaosium turned H.P. Lovecraft’s most famous story of the Cthulhu Mythos into our most award winning RPG game, Call of Cthulhu, written by Sandy Petersen.
Thanks to writers like you, we have carried on their tradition with our Fiction line.
We are not accepting new fiction submissions at this time. Thank you for your interest!
Roleplaying Game Submissions
At its heart, Chaosium is a roleplaying game company. Since RuneQuest came out in 1978 and Call of Cthulhu followed in 1981 we've been producing award-winning roleplaying games with artistic integrity. The who's who of RPG writers have all contributed to make our games great. We'd love for you to join our tribe!
Do you have a scenario ready to go, or an amazing concept? We would love to hear from you.
We are not accepting new Call of Cthulhu or RuneQuest submissions at this time. Thank you for your interest - please consider instead writing for the Miskatonic Repository (Call of Cthulhu) or Jonstown Compendium (RuneQuest).
We are accepting new submissions for Pendragon, 7th Sea, QuestWorlds, and other RPGs (we prefer submissions based on our current games, but are open to consider something special.)

Board and Card Game Submissions
Chaosium’s first-ever release was a board game, Greg Stafford’s epic wargame White Bear Red Moon, back in 1975.
As Chaosium began to make its mark publishing roleplaying games, it also produced memorable board and card game titles including Nomad Gods (1978), Lords of the Middle Sea (1978), Raiders and Traders (1979), Dragon Pass (1980), Arkham Horror (1987), Credo (1993) and Mythos (1996), among others.
In 2016, with design legend Reiner Knizia’s Gloranthan family game Khan of Khans, we’ve returned to making board games and card games again, after some twenty years. If you’ve got a proposal in mind for us, our board and card game submissions guidelines tell you what we’re looking for.
We are not accepting new board game submissions at this time. Thank you for your interest!
