Looking for GMs for forthcoming cons!
Posted by Michael O'Brien on 17th Jan 2019
Conventions are coming up thick and fast between now and the end of March, and we're looking for GMs, especially for Call of Cthulhu and RuneQuest - can you help?
Arcanacon
Melbourne, Australia - January 26-27
Arcanacon is coming up very soon, and due to player demand we need MORE Keepers for Call of Cthulhu and GMs for RuneQuest!
If you GM two sessions each day, you will get free entry to the convention. Chaosium will also give you a t-shirt and swag.
If you can assist please get in touch with our Australian convention coordinator Andrew ASAP.
GameStorm
Portland OR - March 28-31
We are huge supporters of GameStorm, and are part of their board that handles Organized Play. So we have reserved space and tons of listings prepared for delighting and terrifying Portland gamers.
With Chaosium staff tied to the booth, we need GMs for both Call of Cthulhu and RuneQuest. We would also be happy to have 13th Age Glorantha GMs too. Contact Todd by Feb 15th to become part of the team, or for any questions you have. A free badge to GMs that run 12+ hours of game.
Contingency
Hunstanton, UK - 23-27 January
Con-Tingency is a five day charity event in Hunstanton UK, with all the money made supporting worthwhile charities. There is no charge to attend the event; GMs earn reward tokens usable to play games or or to spend at any of the stalls.
While games are very much the focus of the event, there will be a small trade area with a bring-and-buy stall as well as a monster raffle on the Sunday. All the proceeds of the event are donated to charity. RuneQuest and Call of Cthulhu events are always fully booked, so The convention is looking for more GMs to increase the number of tables available to players. Contact Con-Tingency if you can help!
Gamicon Nickel
Cedar Rapids IA - February 22-24
Gamicon Nickel is a small bit fun event coming up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Cult of Chaos member Gary Lange is building a team of GMs to run Call of Cthulhu and RuneQuest that weekend. GM badges are only $20 for the weekend. And Chaosium is sending prize support to match the total number of tables this team runs. Contact Gary to become part of this team!
ConNooga
Chatanooga TN, February 23-25
ConNooga is looking for GMs to host Chaosium games, from Call of Cthulhu and RuneQuest. For 12 hours of your time, you'll be given a free 3-day badge and be added to their list of full-time GMs for the convention, granting a custom shirt for the GMs, access to a concierge lounge, and some evening after-parties. The local gaming store Infinity Flux will also be extending their gratitude by awarding some additional prizes at the end of the con. Please reach out to Tony Seay by email at if you are interested or have any questions.
Gary Con XI
Lake Geneva WI - March 7-10
Gary Con is almost entirely focused on RPGs and a long time location for our GMs to be supporting play of Call of Cthulhu and RuneQuest.
Not only is You Too Can Cthulhu running sessions of their own custom written CoC scenarios, but one of our GMs, John Dahlstrom, is building a team of volunteers to run a block of Chaosium games at this event.
Earn credits toward next year's badge by supporting Gary Con, 16 hours for a full 2020 badge. Contact John to join up with his Gary Con crew.
