Journey to Jonstown #64: Milestone for RuneQuest creators – 50,000 sales on the Jonstown Compendium!

Today marks a significant milestone – we just sold our 50,000th product on the Jonstown Compendium!

Established in December 2019, the Jonstown Compendium is Chaosium's platform on DriveThruRPG for independent creators of gaming material for Greg Stafford's world of Glorantha and the RuneQuest RPG. 

Since then titles in this community content program have received critical praise, won several ENNIE and other awards, prompted the creation of a dedicated Storytelling Collective stream for first-time RuneQuest creators, regularly topped the best seller lists at DriveThruRPG, and have sold out at pop-up stores at Chaosium conventions.

And, most importantly of all, the program has fostered a growing and dynamic community of independent creators, each exploring Greg Stafford's mythic universe in their own way, yet strongly supportive of each other in such groups as the Jonstown Compendium Creative Circle.

Community ambassador Nick Brooke's 2023 Jonstown Compendium Index lists every title available in the program. Several Jonstown Compendium creators have won the Greg Stafford Memorial Award for Gloranthan Fandom, and a number of writers, artists, editors, and cartographers have gone on to work directly for Chaosium's official RuneQuest line.

Similar to the Jonstown Compendium, the Miskatonic Repository is Chaosium's platform on DriveThruRPG for independent creators of gaming material for the Call of Cthulhu tabletop roleplaying game. It was launched in December 2018 and recently celebrated its 1000th independent title.

Later in 2023, Chaosium is launching a new community content program along similar lines for the Pendragon RPG.
