What's Inside?

First released as a six-scenario Organized Play series, A Time to Harvest is available now for the first time in a complete and updated tome. The campaign is compatible with both Call of Cthulhu and Pulp Cthulhu rules.

Into The Hills...

Red Sign

Set in the picturesque state of Vermont at the beginning of the 1930s, A Time to Harvest is a six-part campaign centered on the valley surrounding the sleeping town of Cobb's Corners. A wellspring of resources for the Keeper, the book includes a full suit of player handouts, maps, and details on the key locations preparing you for both the events of the campaign, as well as giving you plenty of information to write your own scenarios set in 1920s Vermont.

Postcard

Cobb's Corners

Mi-Go Attack

A small town nestled in a bountiful valley, Cobb's Corners is a key location in A Time to Harvest. The book details the Vermont town, helping you bring it to life at the tabletop, and to give the setting for your games of Call of Cthulhu a rich, lived-in feeling.

On Campus

A Wellspring of Investigators

Adventurer Portrait

A Time To Harvest contains new rules and advice for creating student investigators. Additionally, there is information on incorporating existing characters into the campaign by bringing in your investigators that have cut their teeth in other scenarios for Call of Cthulhu.

The book includes 10 pre-generated investigators, giving new and eager players everything they need to jump right into the mystery of Cobb's Corners.

What The Critics Say

  • "A splendid 1930s campaign splicing some canonical locations with the latest and greatest of 7th edition goodness... An unexpected addition to the Chaosium canon, but a very worthwhile and rewarding one."

    — Paul St John MacIntosh, RPGNet Review of A Time to Harvest.

  • "This is a magnificent campaign, full of epic detail and executed to perfection. Call of Cthulhu fans should definitely have a look."

    — M.T. Black, Twitter Review.

  • "For Call of Cthulhu fans, this is a strong addition to the game’s product line and will be a welcome addition to a collection... Of particular note is how well conceived the mission is. All of the different actors have clearly defined objectives. The investigators themselves, obviously, but also the antagonists and NPCs. Putting it all together makes the story work seamlessly as it’s easy to understand how all of the different parts are supposed to be working in concert."

    — British Fantasy Society, Call of Cthulhu: A Time to Harvest. RPG Review.

  • "A Time to Harvest is a fantastic campaign book. I absolutely love that we finally have a campaign that is squarely in Lovecraft Country alone, and the atmosphere of this location is fantastic... This is an easy recommend to Keepers looking for a new experience to bring to their playgroups. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

    — EuroCultAV, Tabletop Review – A Time to Harvest/Cults of Cthulhu – Chaosium.

  • "I do really dig this tale set in the backwoods of Vermont – 9 out of 10."

    — The Gaming Gang, Call of Cthulhu: A Time to Harvest.

  • "A Time to Harvest is modern and dynamic, scientific horror rather than eldritch horror, and cosmic horror of a Science Fiction bent... and for the players and their student Investigators, a summer of horror and scientific madness they will never forget."

    — Reviews from R'lyeh, The Fungi from Yuggoth II.

  • "A Time To Harvest projects the careful study that went into lengthy development. It has everything that makes Call of Cthulhu campaigns great: complex antagonists, strange mysteries, interesting characters, and danger hidden in the open... A modern classic - I love it"

    — RPG Imaginings, YouTube Review.

  • “This is one of those campaigns where it really feels like to survive is to win, no matter what the final state is.”

    — Chaosiana, A TIME TO HARVEST Review.

    Unbelievable

Posted by William Anderson on 4th Mar 2023

So is it plagurism when you take an adventure from the '80s or '90s, change the location and repagage it? I was so excited to see this "new" adventure set in 1930 which would be a good continuation of our campain. Imagine my disappointment to see that it was actually just a dust off of a side adventure set in South America... including the trip to the moon and an encounter with Shubby. I wish I could give this a higher rating because of the work that has gone into expanding the adventure and investigator handouts and such, but the fact that it is just a rehashed older adventure sold as a new one, I can't rate it high.

    A Time to Harvest

Yet another superb book from Chaosium. Everything about this product is five-star; the story, the artwork, the binding. I like that it comes with a PDF too, but there is just something “right” about holding an actual BOOK. Very much worth adding to your collection.
