Mythos Standard Game Set (MSGS) is a completely stand alone Lovecraftian Horror Card Game.
It contains 104 cards, divided into two 52 card decks, as well as the new, clarified MSGS rules. Each deck is pre-designed, and the cards aren't collectible. There's no need to worry about rarities, or designing a deck with limited resources. Once you pick up a pack of MSGS, you have everything you need for two people to play.Each of the two MSGS decks is themed. One player gets to be Corrupt, exploring the horrors that lie deep below Kingsport and encountering the outer space fungoid monstrosities that have set up a secret base in Vermont, while the other player is Steadfast, visiting with personalities such as Harry Houdini, Sonia Lovecraft and Frank Belknap Long in New York, and warring against the Arkham Horror.
You'll find MSGS very useful if you're already a Mythos player. This set contains over 100 new cards that are totally compatible with the Mythos Limited Edition, Mythos Dreamlands, and Mythos New Aeon. You can add cards such as Portaphobia, The Loneley Akeley Farmhouse, the Lightning Gun, Hunting Horrors, Tulzscha and N'Kai to your current Mythos decks, to give them new power. A few old faces, such as Deep Ones and Mi-Go, also appear, but with new art and different powers, allowing you an even higher levels of customization in your decks.
